SYM GTS300 2009 won't start

Hello everybody from Greece!

I have a GTS 300i,bought in 2009 and so far working fine(26700klm).Last February I started having battery issues and I when I measured the battery it would show around 10-10,5V so I thought it was about time to change a 4 years old battery. So from 02/2013 until 04/2013 the scooter was left without battery because I was abroad. On april I replaced the old batter with a YUASA YTX12-BS and the scooter was working fine until it started showing some issues.It wouldnt start with the first try.It would take at first 2 tries,then 3-4,then 5 and now it wont start at all.

The new battery is measured and it shows 12,8V. Spark plug has been also checked (CR-8E) and replaced just in case. The thing is that the cable that leads to the spark plug wont even have enough current to produce a spark. Any ideas on this issue? Anything else I should check? Fuel pump works fine.

Is it fuel injected? If so check the fuel pump relay. Should make a short humming sound when you turn the key.

When the rear brake switch went on my Citycom; the bike wouldn't start. I was lucky it was covered under warranty.

Check the fuse that is under the solenoid. Also check the side stand switch.
Also try jumping the two wires that go to the under-seat ignition switch
