Sym Fiddle 2 - Headlight and taillight not working
« on: October 18, 2021, 09:55:15 AM »
Hello, please can you help.
Recently the dashboard lights on my Sym Orbit 2 scooter went very bright and then went off, since then the headlight and taillight and dashboard lights do not work, while everything else works fine.
I replaced the blown headlight and tail light bulbs and replaced the voltage regulator. But I still not not have dashboard lights or head/tail lights.
Any suggestions?

Probably a fuse, or a dead short.

The headlights, taillights are not on a fuse with the Sym Orbit 2, as with several other scooter.

Will check the wiring this weekend. Any other suggestions are welcome :))

So the headlight only works when the lights are set to ON and the highbeam bright switch is also on.. Otherwise the headlight doesn't work.. Do you think it could be the switch on the steering wheel?

Also, how do you replace the taillight bulb? I am struggling to get the unit out to replace the bulb

Update: so the front light bulb has burned a hole in the top of the glass and is broken. This has happened three times now, so going to replace the voltage regulator (again), as it might be faulty. Any ideas on if it could be something else?
