List of Sym Symba part alternatives...
« on: September 28, 2021, 01:13:50 PM »
I will update this list as I find more part alternatives.

A PZ19 carburetor kit will give you the following which work in the stock Symba carburetor.

1.  Float (you will have to adjust it to factory spec for float bowl level) <- Confirmed Works in Symba
2.  Float Needle (looks like it will work, spring plunger pieces slightly shorter but it fits) <- Plausible that it work
3.  Air Mixture Screw (same length as stock one) <- Confirmed Works in Symba
4.  Carb Intake O-Ring <- Confirmed Works in Symba
5.  Float Bowl Drain Screw and O-ring <- Confirmed Works in Symba
6.  Float Bowl Pivot Pin <- Confirmed Works in Symba

The slide needle, clip, jets, and bowl gaskets wont fit.  But kit can be bought for $5-$10 and gives you a lot parts that will work.

I found a float bowl gasket that fits as well.

1.  Moose Racing 0934-6396 Float Bowl Gasket <- Confirmed works in Symba

Jets per bmwzenrider in another thread these work in the Symba

The stock slow jet is a #40,
The stock main jet is a #58.

If you wish to buy replacement jets or a different size, here are the links:

Main Jet:

I am not sure if they buy them from Keihin or build it themselves, but the stock main jet in mine appears to be a genuine Keihin part.
There is another thread in this forum where I posted an exploded view of the carburetor, but I am too lazy to go look for it right now.  ;-)

Donatx, this is awesome! Thank you for putting this together, as I know it'll be a great help to all of us Symba owners. I've been thinking about doing a carb clean on mine, but I was concerned about doing so without at least having replacements for the gaskets and o-rings.

So here's my question: Are there any o-rings or gaskets for the carb for which you _haven't_ yet found a replacement?

Yeah I think that covers all the gaskets unless there is one under the automatic choke which I never removed from my carb body.
