Extra plug in Lance Cabo 200 battery compartment?

Hey scooter experts...new to me Lance Cabo needed new battery and I found an extra orphan plug in there?  Anyone know what this is?  where it belongs?   it runs ok being unplugged?

Apparently this is the diagnostic OBD port...a visit to the store set me right...not deleting out of humility :-)
