Looking to buy a Symba in Florida with a Florida title
« on: October 18, 2019, 05:35:17 PM »
As the subject says, I'd like to buy a Symba, any condition from cherry to basket case, as long as it is mostly complete, and is in Florida and has a Florida title.   Not looking for parts.. want one to ride or to restore and ride.  I'd appreciate any leads.. thanks.

Whereabouts in Florida are you? I'm in the Jacksonville area. I occasionally see a Symba pop up on Craigslist. If I see one, I'll try and remember to let you know.

I live near Crystal River, on the Gulf Coast, 2 hours north of Tampa.  I'll go pretty much anywhere in Florida to pick it up.  There is one now in southern Georgia on Jacksonville craigslist that has been there for 22 days.. see:

I was thinking about it,  but it seems a bit rich, although it looks like nice one.

Yeah, seems a bit rich to me too (I paid $2,500 out the door for mine in 2012), although the mileage is low and it looks like it's in good shape. Might be worth seeing if the seller is flexible on price. I'm laughing at the "equipped to pull a small trailer." I can't imagine the Symba has enough power to pull a trailer at anything close to speed.  :D

Saw one pulling a bicycle trailer a year or so back.
Didn't get a good look at how it was attached but seemed to work.

Haven't seen any others come up around here lately. I'll keep my eye open.

Thanks Beltho.. much appreciated.  I'm not sure how many were actually sold in Florida.  I know that Solano Scooters sold at least one.  I don't see them come up for sale very often.  Please let me know when you want to sell yours..

I've seen a couple other Symbas around here (though not for a while), so they're out there, but like you say, they don't come up for sale very often.
