Any Symba Owners in Florida?
« on: October 18, 2019, 05:35:17 PM »
As the subject says, I'd like to buy a Symba, any condition from cherry to basket case, as long as it is mostly complete, and is in Florida and has a Florida title.   Not looking for parts.. want one to ride or to restore and ride.  I'd appreciate any leads.. thanks.

Whereabouts in Florida are you? I'm in the Jacksonville area. I occasionally see a Symba pop up on Craigslist. If I see one, I'll try and remember to let you know.

I live near Crystal River, on the Gulf Coast, 2 hours north of Tampa.  I'll go pretty much anywhere in Florida to pick it up.  There is one now in southern Georgia on Jacksonville craigslist that has been there for 22 days.. see:

I was thinking about it,  but it seems a bit rich, although it looks like nice one.

Yeah, seems a bit rich to me too (I paid $2,500 out the door for mine in 2012), although the mileage is low and it looks like it's in good shape. Might be worth seeing if the seller is flexible on price. I'm laughing at the "equipped to pull a small trailer." I can't imagine the Symba has enough power to pull a trailer at anything close to speed.  :D

Saw one pulling a bicycle trailer a year or so back.
Didn't get a good look at how it was attached but seemed to work.

Haven't seen any others come up around here lately. I'll keep my eye open.

Thanks Beltho.. much appreciated.  I'm not sure how many were actually sold in Florida.  I know that Solano Scooters sold at least one.  I don't see them come up for sale very often.  Please let me know when you want to sell yours..

I've seen a couple other Symbas around here (though not for a while), so they're out there, but like you say, they don't come up for sale very often.

Are you still looking for a Sym Symba? I have a 2015 in very good shape I am considering selling. White and baby blue with 2300 miles on it. Everything works perfect and it does about 55 MPH if you get small on it lol. 50 MPH if you sit up tall. I weigh 200 lbs and it used to haul me all over town before I got my Honda Monkey. This scooter is now my wife's and she never rides which drives me crazy as it just sits in the garage. It has new tires and the only modification I did was to cut the hand grip bar off so it didn't ride up my butt crack. I am in the Fort Myers area.

Beltho,
Following back through the discussions, it looks like your Symba is now 10 years old, and you used it more the first few years than in the last few years.. It's probably time for you to sell it to me.. LOL.  Please think about it.  I could pay cash, or trade you a cherry TGB Sunset 50, or a cherry PGO MyBuBu 125, or a very nice 150 Buddy Italia..  If you'd like to get in the food delivery business, I could trade you my cherry Peirspeed (TGB) 150 Delivery with powered thermostatic hot food delivery bag included.. please let me know.  All have clean Florida titles in my name.. and I can bring one to Jacksonville when I come over to buy your Symba..

Ha ha! You're not wrong that I'm riding less these days (the family keeps me busy), but I still love getting out on my Symba when I can. ;D I have a Honda CT I've fixed up as well and they look pretty good together! (I'd post a picture if I could figure out how.)

Wouldn't mind one of these though when they hit our shores: https://www.rideapart.com/articles/405943/honda-ct125-hunter-cub-overview/

To post a pic in this forum you need to have it hosted remotely.
I haven't had luck off my google drive, but other hosts have worked.
