Hello,
I tried to use the kick starter when my battery was dead and the kick starter got stuck in the down position. I have the service manual and attempted to take off the crankcase cover, but even with all the bolts removed I couldn't get the cover off. My question though is, if I charge my battery and attempt to start the scooter as is (kick starter down) using the electric starter, will that destroy anything on the inside of that crankcase cover or anywhere else on the scooter? I do see the exploded view in Section 8 of the manual, but I'm not well versed (or even poorly versed) in how it all should work. I just ride the thing. Thought I'd ask for opinions here before resorting to towing and having it looked at/repaired.

Appreciate any insight.
Mel

I don't even remember my Fiddle II having a kick start, but if the lever is hanging loose the electric starter shouldn't hurt anything. Watch your left turns, though.
