General Discussion / Roybi 18v ONE+ Dual Function Inflator/Deflator?
« on: April 22, 2015, 02:55:13 AM »
I just come across this unit and it sure looks good to me.  Auto shut off, fast inflation, small and got good reviews.  Do any of you have any thoughts on this unit.  Would I be better off buying something else that is battery powered?  Thanks much for your help my friends.

General Discussion / 12 volt tire inflators. Any suggestions?
« on: April 20, 2015, 07:59:04 AM »
I'm looking at 12 volt tire inflators for my SYM CityCom 300i scooter so I can inflate the tires at home if I have to.  Often it's hard to find an air pump at a gas station where I live.  I found two I like.  One is the Slime 2x model number 40026.  It takes two minutes to inflate a tire.  Very fast.  It weighs just over six pounds.  The down side is the power comes from the scooter battery.  The biggest plus with this unit is that you can use your battery or plug it in.  Cost is $89.99  The other one is the Campbell Hausfeld RP3200.  It weighs just over three pounds.  The cost is $29.99.  Do any of you have any thoughts on this or suggestions on other units?  Thanks much for your help.  Ride safe and ride often y friends.

Many thanks to all of you for your help.  Ootscoot, I'll take your advice and keep very good records of everything that is done to my scooter.  Ride safe and ride often my friends.

There is no SYM dealer close to where I live.  The guy I bought the scooter from is 80 miles south of where I live.  It's about 16 miles from the center of Detroit.  I don't like going down there.  I think I found a motorcycle shop that will work on my new scooter.  I'll know in a week or so.  I also know a guy that has a lot of experience but none on SYM scooters.  He's another option for me.

Do any of you have any thoughts of me losing the two year warranty by not gong to a SYM dealer to get my scooter worked on?  I know I have to make the call but I would appreciate your opinions on this.  If I am lucky another SYM dealer will open in Michigan that I can go to.  Thank you my friends.  Ride safe.

Hi everyone.  In a week or two I will be picking up my new CityCom 300i.  I paid $5,500.00 for it.  Did I get gouged?  I think so.  Nothing thrown in or free.

Will someone please give me a list of the sockets and wrenches I should buy to work on my CityCom 300i?  Either I will work on it or I will pay someone to work on it.  Thank you for your help.  I could ask the guy I bought it from but I really don't want to talk to him.  Thanks again.  Ride safe and ride often.

Citycom 300 / Torque wrench for CityCom 300i, metric or foot pounds?
« on: April 14, 2015, 02:48:19 PM »
Please tell me if I should buy a metric torque wrench or a foot pound torque wrench for my new CityCom 300i.  I'm pretty sure it has to be metric but not positive.  Thank you for your help.  Ride safe my friends.

I just learned Michelin stopped building the City Grip 140 70 16 tire.  That was my first choice for my 2015 CityCom 300i.  So I've decided to go to the darkside for my rear tire.  My first size choice is 140 80 16 if I can find one.  If not I'll stay with the 140 70 16.  Can any of you please tell me of any darkside tires in this tire size?  Thanks for your help.  Ride often and ride safe my friends.

What is your next scooter going to be Steve?  What ever it is, ride safe and ride often my friend.  I hope to have mw new white CityCom 300i the first of May.  Two days ago we got 8" of snow in Michigan where I live.  Most of it melted in the afternoon.  Now it is all gone but we could get more.  You never know what the weather will be like here in Michigan.  Be well my friend.
