General Discussion / Ootscoot takes a break
« on: September 09, 2015, 08:16:39 PM »
Well, after quite a few years and posts and friends found on this cool forum, I am sad to say that I no longer will be able to offer as much, learn as much, and just plain be entertained as much...
Two years of battling Pancreatic Cancer has taken its toll.
My shop is now being managed by my son. Sorry to say I can no longer order and ship parts except for our local customers.
I will try to chime in again sometime in the future...but for what time I have left, I spend with my family.
Thank you all for a great learning experience!
With gratitude,
Ootscoot - Chris

Push downward on key and turn to the left?

I put 22,000 mi on my HD with that slight drip - no problems. I finally got around replacing that oil seal when I drained the coolant and engine oil for a complete service. As I recall I pulled out the old seal, and pressed in a new seal...don't recall the tools needed

Thanks for the updates - the 2014 models had a few problems with the instrumentation - all bright and clear now.

Unfortunately an all too common issue - the only fix is to replace fuel tank. I have discontinued selling  the HD200, until next year when they will be fuel injected.

It is a design flaw and the only solution is to replace the tank which will end up with the same problem...We have discontinued selling the HD200 and have let Alliancepowersports know about this. Might be helpful if everyone with this problem contact :

Also, if it isn't valves, you may want to check all vacuum lines for leaks.

Anything above 13 v at high rpm is ok for that engine - 13.5 to 13.8 is average. Suggest checking all the connections at regulator.

Depends on how handy it is to get fuel. I fill mine when it starts to flash.
About every 150 mi

The brake fluid mast cylinder is connect to the right brake lever - you can see the view port by looking into the brake lever assembly from the end of handle bar
