Stock Scoot looking for more performance
« on: March 12, 2011, 06:26:54 PM »
My scoot now has been derestricted, new variator and rollers, 2k springs, 1k contra spring, and a pipe. It goes pretty good, around 40 on flat ground with solid acceleration. Would an air filter and a jet kit make this bike go faster? Or do I just need to just save up and get a Big Bore kit? I would like to get the kit but would rather keep the reliability of the stock cylinder. What do you think?

Scooter Assassins seem to have many parts for the DD50, i bought a variator off them , it came in about 12 days and free shipping on all their parts link is here

I had a DD50 that ran about 46 mph on level ground.  I put a non-expansion pipe on it that was designed to for all around driveability as well as opening up the stock airbox some and rejetting.

The oil pump was questionable so I removed it and ran 50:1 premix.

Beware scooter assassins, they will happily take your money, but when the parts are faulty they will not reply to emails.
