rv250 oil reminder light

A new rv owner. Anybody know how to set the oil reminder light? How does it read out? Ron

The oil reset button is with the trip reset and odo. The button is marked OR. Press that and your "change oil" light will go out. It will come back on after 1800 miles.

Thanks much. I take it the light is preset for 1800 mile increments? Does everybody change oil that often--especially with synthetic oil?  Ron

Per the owners manual, after the 1st 1000 miles oil change, the following intervals are 2000 miles. The 1800 mile light is a good reminder and I try to change it about every 2000 miles, have gone to 2500 miles. I have noticed the synthetic oil maintains it's consistantacy at 2500 miles, could go longer I am sure, but you are only replacing alittle over a quart per change which really dont cost much and takes all of 5-10 mins to change, why risk it. So to answer your question I do try to change it that often.

I change it the first chance I get once the "change oil" light comes on. Its a good reminder for me.

That's interesting. The HD200 "light" comes on every 1000 miles regardless of when you reset it. It's a mechanical gear in the ODO and is reset with your key like the older Honda Cars.

Does the RV do it every 1800 miles exactly or does it reset 1800 miles at the current mileage you have when you reset it?

It counts up from the mileage at the time you reset it, kinda like a tripmeter.
