I'm in love! Can't wait for this one to hit the showrooms. I love the 60's Hondas but this would be more reliable

I sat on the one at POC.  I'm no NBA star but can flat-foot it on both sides.  It's got clip-on bars (e.g. cafe racer type) and is  nice little machine.  POC Renae rode it to a bike night in Cleveland last week and raves about it.  For $2999 I don't think you can go wrong.

I think the Wolf Classic 150 will be a huge success (when it gets here).  There are a lot of us older bikers that remember the great bikes of the 1960's and 70's.  We don't need or want 1000cc sport bikes.  We just want a good small displacement bike to ride around town and have fun.

The only recommendation I would make is to add a more traditional upright handlebar.  So the rider can sit in a more comfortable position.  The seat would then need to be changed slightly as well.  If the bike doesn't come this way, I would work with my dealer to make the changes noted.  I'm looking forward to this one.

Does anyone know when SYM dealers will be getting the Wolf?

Its likely we won't get the Wolf Classic until Spring.  At the Dealer Expo they said this fall but I'm not holding my breath.

Sym USA just sent me their 2009 Catalog.  On page 17 was an image of future bikes.  One that caught my eye was the one on the left side of the page.  The green one.  It resembles an old Royal Enfield Bullet.  In my opinion that model would either be D.O.A or at least on life support before it was ever unloaded from the boat.

If SYM expects a "Home Run" they should copy the mid 1960's Honda 90.  Now there was a machine.  Everyone over the age of 60 probably had one, road one, or had a friend who had one.  It wouldn't take much to make that bike look Honda-ish.  It might only take a good paint job.  The bike looks to be either a 100cc or 125cc.

BikerBob82,
Any online photos of the SYM bike you are talking about?

There is a download of the SYM catalog with the Wolf classic listed as a 2010 model. Very Honda like, perhaps modeled after the original Honda 150 built by SYM in the 60's. The way things are going with SYM bikes here in CA. , we probably won't see it until 2011...(still no SYMBA or Fiddle ll here)
Ooty's Scooters - Santa Barbara, CA.
SYM Dealer, SYM rider, SYM owner - got them all!

I was very interested in the REs but was scared off by the reliability like the BSA I had back in the 60's. Traded my BSA in on a Suzuki back in the day and couldn't believe the reliability improvement.

here's the link to the Taiwanese SYM site for the 150, mostly in Mandarin, but has enough English to help ya find your way around... http://www.sym.com.tw/chi/showroom/index.php?tid=2&mode=info&id=42

Classic 150 now shows up on the SYM US page in the model drop down tab, some photos, some specs, no price yet.
