Tyre Pressures Maxsym 600 2016
« on: December 30, 2017, 03:09:20 PM »
Hi all, purchased a Maxsym 600 in September this year and although very pleased with the maxi scooter I'm a little disappointed by detail in hand book and lack of tool kit. The scoot has only done 800 miles and was just under a year old. Has anyone out there done plenty miles on the standard tires and found the best pressures for front and back. I like to ride with tyres on max pressure. Found the the technical specifications listed in the hand book confusing. I did work them out in September and converted to PSI but neglected to record them. Any answers ??

In the U.S. there's usually a tag in the lower front of the cockpit that lists that, among other things.
The manual is available for download from SYM.
It notes
Front: 2.0kg/cm2 - 28.4PSI
Rear: 2.3 kg/cm2 for 1 person, 2.5 kg/cm2 for 2 persons - 32.7, 35.5

Quite a bit of detail about your scooter here...

Make sure you're looking at info for the 600 and not the 400

The weight bias (how much weight is on each tire) info is pretty interesting. Scooters ARE ass-heavy, but it's nice to see this in real numbers.

I wouldn't stray far from the recommended tire pressures...

Overinflated tires will increase the chances of locking-up a wheel under hard braking. many PSI will a tire checked in a heated garage lose in 30F  temperatures...🙃?🇨🇦🌡❄️
