I really borked it this time

As you can see from the photos: I don't know exactly HOW I did it, but I managed to cross thread the lower shock mount nut, and it completely stripped the mount.

Any recommendations on next steps? I figure I either see if I can get a welder to weld a new stud on, or I search for a parts bike and just drop in a whole new rear fork? Or, can it safely be re-threaded with a die?

A quick ( temporary ) fix would be to drill a hole through the side of the bolt and insert a large cotter pin, until you can get the stud replaced.
