Backlight instrument panel Symphony ST
« on: July 01, 2017, 06:46:05 AM »
Last week I got my Sym Symphony ST delivered. It looks awesome and the ride is great!
There is one thing that I can't get used to. The lights on the instrument panel are so dimmed out, you can't really see how fast you're going during daylight conditions. Strangely enough, when the ignition is switched on, the lights are a fair amount brighter and the instruments are a lot more visible.
My guess is that the instrument panel gets information about the headlights and if they are switched on or off. On my scooter however, the lights are always on.

Is there a way to get the lights to burn brighter? Can anyone supply me with a schematics drawing of this scooter and especially the instrument panel connections and headlight controls? It would be much appreciated!

This video shows the problem.

I already contacted Sym Netherlands, but they refuse to help me.

Kind regards, Meatlove.

Since there were no reply's on this topic, it can be closed. I think this forum is not the right place to be asking this question.

SYM NL refuses to help you? Why? Your scoot is under warranty, isn't it?

SYM NL says it's normal behaviour and will not mend it. The dealer also can't help me.
If i only would have some scematics, I could help myself.
