SYM Wolf Legend Electrical Problem
« on: June 16, 2017, 06:20:50 AM »
I recently got an older SYM Wolf Legend 125. It starts and runs just fine but the instruments and lights both don't work. I replaced the battery but that didn't fix the problem at all.

Instruments...meaning speedometer? Or the lights that illuminate it?

The speedometer is mechanical (cable driven?) and doesn't rely on the electrical system.

Checked fuses?

Adding Edit...

Does this wiring diagram found on the forum for the 150 match your 125?

https://www.flickr.com/photos/loka/29462379442/in/photostream/lightbox/

Look at the 'Main Switch' (ignition switch where you put your key) both in the diagram and below and to the right where it depicts which wires are connected and disconnected when you turn the ignition key on and off...

It's possible this switch has dirty contacts or a broken/poor connection inside it, causing the lights not to come on...

Too scary to add more info. This switch isn't a magic box and there's no chipped security key or fob interacting with a computer...it just connects and disconnects wires...🤐🤐

And it just might not be connecting the wires inside the switch to turn on your lights...

I am not sure where the fuses are. I have checked the manual but it is a little confusing.
