Wolf recovered... mixed blessing.
« on: June 01, 2017, 08:22:34 PM »
Hi Folks,
For those that might remember- I had my beautiful customized wolf stolen last summer. The police caught the guy last weekend and I got my wolf back. Unfortunately the guy completely trashed it.
It was rattle canned over the custom paint job, the fairing is gone and it looks like it was wrecked a few times. I am away so I haven't seen it in person yet though.
I suppose it is good to have it back but it almost would have been better if I started compleatly over.

Is the custom paint job under the rattle canned paint? If so, can that paint be removed somehow?

I don't know... maybe somebody here has experience with that?

Thanks, I'll certainly one or more of these methods if it looks like the paint and pinstriping is intact. I'll be back to KS in a month or so and see what I have then. I have missed my wolf a lot. I brought one of my BMWs with me but the wolf would be a far better motorcycle for these low speed twisty roads I find in VA.

Man I'm so bummed that beautiful bike got so screwed up! Hopefully you can get her back to her glory.
Glad they caught the guy. Death to bike thieves!

It turns out Wolfie is a hero since he is helping to put away a bad guy.
The detective told me the thief was a known gang member, wanted on a drug charge, was carrying a stolen gun, and of course- had stolen my bike.
