I read 'oil threads' and THIS http://miehana.blogspot.com/2011/04/monsantos-fountain-of-fashion.html pops up in my brain. 😜

From the script on Adventure Thru Inner Space... "From this tiny viewpoint, I can see that nothing is solid, no matter how it appears."

To this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kypne21A0R4

This 99.9999999999996% empty space rider, hasn't stumbled on to a  99.9999999999996% empty space oil, that didn't do the job of lubricating the 99.9999999999996% empty space components of the many  99.9999999999996% empty space engines I've owned. And never managed to make a wet clutch slip, yet...

...my head must not be all an empty space 🙃

Of course that could be that you're riding an HD200, which has a dry clutch...
Check the burgmanusa forums in the 650 section for slipping clutch.  You'll find a few.  Sometimes a flush and fill got it. Sometimes you're digging out the plates and replacing 'em (messy).
Cheers.
