2017 HD 125 evo
« on: April 05, 2017, 06:48:08 AM »
Greetings All

I'm a newbie,  does anyone anyone know if a HD 200 evo engine would bolt right onto a HD125 evo frame without modifications.  If so which year HD200 would bold onto a 2017 hd 125 please

I don't think any 200 engine will fit in your 125. But if you wanted a 200, why get a 125?

Or wait, are you in the UK?

Without part numbers it's a bit tough to say, but they're pretty similar.
I know the PN for the belts is different, so it may well be a case where you'd need the whole CVT in addition to the entire engine bay of a 200.

would be as good a place to start as any.
That noted: the only way I could see this being anything approaching economical would be
- Don't count your own time in the equation, you will lose even at minimum wage I suspect.
- Find a donor 200, probably with a crunched front cuz I suspect the radiator and such is the same.

Please do keep us updated on this one if you decide to go forward.
