What Coolant to Use?
« on: May 25, 2016, 07:42:18 AM »
The coolant level has dropped to minimum, & I need to add some to bring the level back up to maximum.

What coolant are you using, or what coolant do you use &/or recommend?

Anything that is suitable for modern cars will work in your SYM. If your bike is a keep til the wheels fall off purchase; you could have your bike changed over to Evans Waterless Coolant. The old coolant has to be completely flushed out ( no more than 3% contamination is allowed ) or the benefits of the noncorrosive permanent Evans will be lost. It's a worthwhile investment for any vehicle that you value, or in my case, for bikes that sit for half the year.

Thanks for the information. I have made a note of it. I ended up using a coolant for Honda scooters that I had bought from the local Honda dealership for a Honda scooter that I owned previously.
Hopefully that pre-mixed coolant is suitable for the SYM, & after it's used up, I'll change to one suggested by you.  :D
