Yes, I do park it outside all the time and it has gone through several US winters ( chicago and now NY ).. So maybe it's button corrosion. Is it straightforward to take the assembly apart? I'd hate to open it  and have springs fly out of it!

My start button just sometimes does nothing. I have to make like 10 attempts to start the scooter and finally it will work.  Then it can go for days without giving any issues. Then all of a sudden it will refuse to do anything, i.e nothing happens when I push it.

General Discussion / Digital speedometer randomnly stopped working

Everything else works fine but the speed just shows 0. Any ideas on what to check? It is a 2014 Lance Cabo with ~4000 miles.

General Discussion / New muffler won't fit!
« on: December 06, 2017, 10:03:48 AM »
I orderd a new muffler for my 2014 lance cabo 125. Unfortunately, it is off by more than an inch! The mechanic said he can try heating it and bending it. But there's a risk of it breaking. Is this typical of SYM quality control?

I am awating a response from the dealer who sold me the part. But I am afraid they may say it is what it is...

I found it needs to be twisted to get the inside out.

General Discussion / How to fix rear turn signal light on Lance cabo 125?
« on: October 18, 2017, 08:07:58 PM »
My left turn signal stopped working so I opened the light and removed the bulb. I put in a new bulb but noticed it would not go in smoothly. It seems the positive copper thingy is bent/loose. See the picture below. I could not figure out how to further disassemble it to fix the copper thingy.

The fake mirror would not pull out with hand force. Perhaps it is a snap fit?

General Discussion / Replace transmission oil every 600 or 3100 miles?
« on: October 05, 2017, 05:50:48 PM »
The first page of my maintenance guide for lance cabo 125 says to replace transmission oil every 3100 mile. But then on each page of the guide it says transmission oil should be changed with each 600 mile service? Is that a mistake?

General Discussion / Re: Can I replace rear tire myself on Lance cabo 125?

Thanks but it sounds much more involved than I hoped for . Thankfully I have found a local motorcylce repair store who is willing to do it.

General Discussion / Can I replace rear tire myself on Lance cabo 125?
« on: September 06, 2017, 07:43:51 PM »
I moved from Chicago to NYC area. I am having a hard time finding someone willing to do maintenance on my Lance. There is no SYM dealer here to my knowledge. One mobile technician bluntly said, "I don't work on no-name scooters"...

My rear tire has a slow leak so I bought a new tire. Can I put it on myself? Any special tools and techniques needed?

General Discussion / Is lancescooterforums dead?

Seems there is no way to register for an account. I tried emailing the admin from doing a whois on the domain name and it bounced.

I assume this forum is then the best place for Lance owners to chat?

As subject says, any ideas where to find this replacement washer? It's very tiny!
