Hi,
I'm looking to purchase pads for my 2015.  Just want to make sure the pads used on 2015 are the same as 2014 and previous.  Looking at ebc organic sfa264.  Just want to make sure I buy the right ones.  THANKS

Nevermind!  Went ahead and bought a battery and it seems to work just fine now.  Back in business.  Got a li-ion with a 3 year warranty.

Citycom 300 / Difficulty starting 300i. Battery???

Hello fellow Citycommers,
I'm a new rider who just bought a used 2015 a few months ago, when it had around 900 miles - now has over 1,700.  Glad to have found this forum!

From what I've read in other posts I'm guessing my issue is that I need to replace my battery, but wanted to see if anyone else thinks differently.  The issue started happening maybe a month or two ago.  I will go to start up; I turn the ignition on, and sometimes nothing will happen.  Strangely enough, I found that if I let the side stand hit up against the body with some amount of force, the dash and everything would light up like normal and I'd be able to start up and go.  Sometimes it would take just one little flick of the side stand with my foot, letting it bang up against the undercarriage, to get it to respond.  Sometimes it takes ten full kicks of the side stand, but so far I've been able to get it to start up every time except for two times in the past few days where it didn't matter how many times I did this (this was in the morning after a coldish San Diego night).  After starting up and riding, the dash will tell me the battery is anywhere from 12-14 amps or whatever.  After getting the electrical power on, but prior to starting the engine, the battery power will show around 8-9. After the the dash lights up and I pull the break and press the ignition button, sometimes it will start up, but sometimes it will click and everything will turn off again - the dashboard going blank again.  There has definitely been some sitting around for days and sometimes weeks for this newish bike, so I'm guessing the stock battery is just ready to be replaced.

I'd love to hear any suggestions on what else the problem might be, or confirmation that it's most likely the battery.  Also if anyone knows why kicking the sidestand up would be so helpful in getting the bike to respond.  Seems strange to me.

Anyway, thanks for any advice you have for me.  I look forward to hearing any thoughts!

Jon
