Mio 50 / Bunch of Mio parts available, including a low-mileage engine...
« on: October 30, 2017, 10:19:04 AM »
I have a bunch of Mio parts available, including a low-mileage, still restricted complete engine.  Most of the parts are listed on eBay.  The best way to find them on eBay is to do an advanced search on eBay searching for seller user id kaspejkp to see all the parts I have listed there.  Hopefully, you'll find something you need and it will save you some bucks from new.  Below is at least a photo of the engine, which is listed on eBay for $400 OBO, where I would of course have to pay eBay + PayPal fees....the photo below is one I have of the engine on the Charlotte, NC Craigslist where it's $300.

General Discussion / 2010 SYM Mio parts scooter or parts for sale
« on: November 17, 2016, 10:22:41 AM »
I have a '10 SYM Mio 50 scooter that has a lot of good parts on it.  I purchased it and used some the parts to repair another SYM Mio 50. The engine on it has approx. 1,500 miles and as far as I know, should run.  I will guarantee that it will or your money back.  I never tried to start-up the engine, as all I needed off the engine was the carburetor assembly. If I happen to locate a carb for a reasonable price that will work, I'll fire-up the engine to make sure it runs properly.  The parts that were missing off of it when I got it and parts that I used off of it are listed below, meaning these parts are NO LONGER AVAILABLE:

  1 ) Carburetor assembly
2 ) One shock boot...have only one remaining
  3 ) Battery
4 ) Front fender plastic parts ...have the metal bracket the fender attaches to
5 ) Front headlight assembly and surrounding plastic piece
  6 ) Keys
  7 ) Ignition switch
  8 ) Both mirrors
9 ) Engine cooling shroud cover (plastic)
10 ) Triple tree (bent)
11 ) All turn signals
12 ) Rear splash guard (this is not the fender over the rear tire)
13 ) V.I.N. plate plastic cover
14 ) Kick-start lever

I have a speedometer assembly, but the gas gauge within it does not function. Everything else works within the assembly.

If you want the whole parts scooter or just need a part or parts for a SYM Mio 50, please inquire by sending me a p.m.

General Discussion / Need a Mio 50 carb replacement, as mine was stolen.
« on: October 29, 2016, 10:00:03 AM »
Please send me a p.m. should you have a good Mio 50 carb available for sale.  A new one is simply too expensive for my budget, at well over $200 with shipping.  Thanks!

Fiddle II 125 / Has anyone installed this windshield on their Fiddle II?...
« on: September 29, 2010, 03:31:16 PM »
It's the one in the 2009 SYM Accessory Brochure...

http://www.justgottascoot.com/SYMAccessoryBrochure09.pdf

If so, please tell me how the heck you mounted it without doing some modifications to the turn signals.  If you could include some photos, that would be awesome.

I've got a brand new Fiddle II 125, a Canadian model that evidently comes standard with the windshield, but there are no instructions for mounting the windshield.  The scooter was in a shipping crate when I got it and no part of the windshield was installed from the factory or the Canadian distributor.

Please advise!

Fiddle II 125 / Fiddle II Front Turn Signal Mod
« on: April 05, 2010, 04:33:38 PM »
Thought I would share a couple of photos showing my latest mod to my newest (pre-owned) Fiddle II 125...

I modified the bulb sockets to accommodate a larger and brighter bulb,
as the the standard 12V-10A wedge-base bulbs were not nearly bright
enough, especially for daylight use.

Enjoy!  ;D

General Discussion / Drive belt for Fiddle II 125
« on: December 08, 2009, 02:36:26 PM »
Anybody had any experience with pricing and sources on a replacement drive belt for a Fiddle II 125?  The size is 913 X 19.5 X 28.  I called Carter Bros. this morning and they said the price was 48.95 plus shipping and that seemed pretty high to me.  It supposedly is a proprietary belt, but is that the going rate you think or is there a better source than Carter for the belt?  I have sold the scooter and I agreed to replace the drive belt before the new owner takes delivery.

Thanks!

General Discussion / Fiddle II 125 drive belt size????
« on: October 18, 2009, 08:19:51 PM »
Does anyone on this forum know the drive belt size for a Fiddle II 125???  I can't seem to locate it in the owner's manual or the service manual.  Am I missing it somewhere?  If so, please tell me where.

Thanks.

General Discussion / Love my Fiddle, BUT...
« on: October 15, 2009, 11:33:28 AM »
...this new KYMCO Like model could be a real Fiddle-killer.  Why?  Below is a list of at least 11 things it has going for it over the Fiddle, of course, in my opinion as a current Fiddle owner:

  1.  12" wheels (which the Fiddle has outside the U.S.)
  2.  Available in 50cc 2-stroke, same engine as KYMCO Super 9, People 50...a real performer once derestricted
  3.  Standard, color-matched trunk
  4.  Leg shield storage/glove box
  5.  12V accessory outlet in the storage/glove box
  6.  Flip-out passenger pegs...much more sturdy than the passenger footrest on the Fiddle
  7.  Digital clock on instrument cluster
  8.  5 colors available
  9.  KYMCO brand recognition
10.  KYMCO dealer nework
11.  KYMCO higher resale values....

What does all this equate to you ask?  Simple...MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK!!!

SYM USA needs to get busy here and give SYM prospects/owners the same value!

Just a couple of little extras for my Fiddle II...one for looks and one to help me keep my fabulous machine clean.  Both make my Fiddle a little more enjoyable.  Hope you all like the improvements and ENJOY!
