Can scooters keep people employed? Memphis is trying.

Neat, looks like they're using Fiddle III's.
Makes sense, quick enough, but cheaper/air-cooled maintenance, & purchase cost.

It's an interesting idea and I hope it works, but what are they going to do when it rains and what are they going to do when people lose their jobs?  Also, scooters need to be well cared for.

Think the article noted the payment included some gear and maintenance.
Essentially it's a good start for folks, & to keep a job there were times I rode my old Jawa in a MN winter.
Rain is not biggie.  Ice is a whole other thing.
If you're up against it and see a lifeline ya grab it, so folks will deal with it there just like they do over most of the world.
